Lyricists* - please submit the following:
1. A current resume.
2. Five contrasting song samples of your lyrics (please provide contextual information, if applicable) via emailed .pdf files. At least one of these songs should be an ensemble piece (duet, trio, quartet or greater).
3. A letter of recommendation from a producer, director or other significant agency representative working in the commercial musical theater industry (optional).
* - if you are applying as both a composer/lyricist, please submit all materials for both categories.
Composers - please submit the following:
2. Three contrasting recorded song samples of your music (please provide contextual information, if applicable) via emailed .mp3 clips or mailed CD demo. (Composers will not be judged on the production quality of these samples)
3. A biographical website address, Myspace Music page, facebook page and/or other online promotional sites (optional).
4. A letter of recommendation from a producer, director or other significant agency representative working in the commercial musical theater industry (optional).
Book Writers - please submit the following:
1. Either a script or full page treatment/synopsis for a play that can be adapted as a musical.
2. A second 5-10 page sample of a script or play (with a full synopsis) written in the last ten years.
3. A current resume.
Bookwriters can also submit a short section of a larger work for production in this festival.
Directors - please submit the following
1. A current resume/bio listing all pertinent information about all shows you have directed.
2. A list of references (two minimum)
3. A dvd sample of a recently directed production (optional)
Producers - please submit the following:
1. A current resume/bio listing all pertinent information about all shows you have produced.
3. A dvd sample of a recently produced production (optional).
4. A letter of recommendation from a producer, director or other significant agency representative working in the commercial musical theater industry (required).
Actors - please submit the following
1. A current headshot/resume.
2. A link to any websites or online samples of your work.
3. All pertinent contact information.
Accepted actors will receive a personal invitation and appointment slot for the festival general auditions.
Musical Directors -
Each series will be assigned one musical director responsible for all the music for that series. Applicants must be highly proficient sight-readers with superior artistry and the ability to coach and craft singers' musicality.
All Muiscal Director applicants will have a private audition for the producers.
Choreographers -
Will be chosen by the producer/director teams as needed for each piece. Interested choreographers, please submit an application with a resume.
